Kent Backyard Ultra Club Cup 2025/26

20 Teams. 4 Events. Every Yard Earned.

It’s time to put your club colours on the line.
This is your chance to step up, stand out, and go further.

The Kent Backyard Ultra Club Cup is more than a race series. It’s a challenge built on shared effort, smart pacing, and the kind of resilience that turns strong clubs into something even stronger, connected, focused, and proud.

Whether you’re a big club with deep benches or a trail-hardened duo with grit to spare, this is your shot at something different and unforgettable.

Four races. One team. One goal: go the distance.

What Is a Backyard Ultra?

Backyard Ultras are one of the most inclusive, social formats in running.

Everyone starts together.
Everyone rests together.
Everyone goes again.

Each lap (“yard”) is 4.167 miles. You have one hour to complete it.
Finish in time? You go again. Miss the bell? You're out.

The event continues until only one runner completes a solo yard.

This is a format built on respect, pacing, and persistence and it rewards those who refuse to quit.

Why It Works for Clubs

This series was made for clubs like yours. It’s competitive without ego, demanding without exclusion, and designed to bring people together.

You’ll enter a team of one male and one female runner for each event and you can rotate your runners across the series to involve more members and share the load.

Every yard your runners complete goes toward your club’s total mileage.
It also counts toward individual results in each event and the overall Kent Backyard Ultra Series, so your runners are recognised both as individuals and as part of the team.

Expect 3 a.m. pep talks. Side-line hugs. Shared fatigue.
And moments your runners will still be talking about next season.

Our Commitment to SheRACES

The Kent Backyard Ultra Series is a proud supporter of SheRACES.

We believe every runner deserves to feel safe, seen, and supported and we actively follow SheRACES guidelines to help make that a reality across every one of our events.

What that looks like:

  • Guaranteed female-only toilet access at all venues

  • Pregnancy and adoption deferral options

  • Hygiene products available on-site

  • Safe, supported night-time environments

  • A culture where women feel welcomed, visible, and respected from sign-up to finish line

We’re committed to making the race experience better for everyone and that means listening, adapting, and improving at every turn.

This Is for the Mavericks

The clubs that dig deep when others step back.
The runners who keep going long after the plan falls apart.
The people who know their limits and choose to test them anyway.

Four races. One team. Every yard earned.
Let’s see what your club is made of.
