Important Note: Self-Supported Event This is a self-supported event, so no food will be provided. We encourage participants to bring the food they feel most comfortable with and have trained with, ensuring you stay fueled with what works best for you.

Directions
By Car
- From London: Take the M20 towards Dover, and continue onto the A20. Follow signs for Dover’s town center.
- From Canterbury: Take the A2 towards Dover, following signs for Dover’s town center.
- As you approach Dover, look for signs directing you to Western Heights and follow directions for Redoubt Road.
- Parking: Parking is limited around the Grand Shaft area, so it’s recommended to use nearby public car parks, such as:
- Stembrook Car Park (5-minute walk to the Grand Shaft)
- Dover Waterfront Car Park (10-minute walk)
Note: Some street parking may be available on weekends but is limited. Please respect all parking regulations and consider carpooling if possible.
By Train
- Trains from London: Southeastern Rail provides direct services from London St Pancras, Victoria, and Charing Cross to Dover Priory Station. High-speed trains from St Pancras take approximately 1 hour.
- Trains from Canterbury: Trains from Canterbury East to Dover Priory Station take around 30 minutes.
- From Dover Priory Station:
- Walking: The Grand Shaft is a 15-20 minute walk from Dover Priory. Exit the station, head towards Folkestone Road, and turn right. Continue up the hill, following signs to Western Heights and Redoubt Road.
- Taxi: Local taxis are available outside the station, taking approximately 5 minutes to reach the Grand Shaft.
Walking Directions (from Dover Town Centre)
- Head towards Biggin Street and continue south toward Dover Castle and Dover Museum.
- Take the underpass on Priory Road and follow signs towards Western Heights.
- Follow South Military Road to reach Redoubt Road, leading directly to the Grand Shaft area (approximately a 20-minute walk).
Tip: The Grand Shaft sits on historic Western Heights, so prepare for a hilly walk.
