Four races. One series. Every yard earned.
Backyard Ultras are one of the most sociable formats in running.
You all start together. You all rest together. You all go again, together.
Whether you run 4 yards or 24, you’re part of the same rhythm, the same story, the same quiet madness.
Each yard is 4.167 miles. You have 1 hour to complete it.
Finish in time? You go again. Miss the bell? You’re out.
The race continues until only one runner remains.
And here’s what makes it unique:
The winner’s final yard only happens because the second-place runner stops.
It’s a sport where victory depends entirely on someone else’s effort.
No one gets there alone.
The Kent Backyard Ultra Series brings together four unique events across the Garden of England.
Each course explores a different corner of Kent, coastlines, forests, farmland, ancient trails.
Every one challenges something different: terrain, timing, mindset, patience.
Each event is a fresh start. Each yard adds up.
Four races. One series. Every yard earned.
This isn’t about being the last one standing.
It’s about consistency. Progress. Grit over glory.
Show up. Do the work. See what you’re made of.
